Retractvs is the name of the exhibition of portraits in painting by Diego Rodarte and Juan Barragán inaugurated at the Casa Museo López Portillo.

"Our intention is to create a pictorial dialogue, since each of us presents seven paintings with opposite styles. While Juan has a way of painting that we could call magical realism, in which he uses layers, I, on the other hand, have a more direct and first intention style," explains Diego Rodarte.

"Portraiture is something very ancestral, but the internet has influenced culture a lot and that is part of what we want to show. As for the models, Juan prefers to portray mythological characters and I prefer to portray people I know and friends around me". The exhibition consists of 14 oil paintings on canvas in medium format.
